LORRAINE CONILLE
Biography
Lorraine has a criminal justice background with a focus on Social Work and Psychology from John Jay University. She has personal experience with specialized care for children with autism, down syndrome, and sever developmental/ intellectual disabilities.
This personal experience has allowed her to understand the variations in diagnosis, cognitive function, and behavioral therapy.
Professionally, she has 8 years of experience advocating for the special needs population. Her introduction into this population as an OPWDD care coordinator has equipped her with the knowledge and experience needed to communicate, educate, and provide assistance to families seeking special needs services.
She is determined to spread education and awareness to cultures that shy away from acknowledgement that autism and other developmental/ intellectual disabilities exists.
